Mark 11
And when they drew near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, near the Mount of Olives, he sends two of his disciples.
and says to them: Go into the village that is opposite you, and immediately upon entering into it you will find a colt tied upon which no one of men has yet sat; untie it and bring it.
And if anyone says to you, 'Why are you doing this?' say, 'The Lord has need of it, and he will send it back here immediately.'
And they departed and found the colt tied at the door outside by the crossroads, and they untied it.
And some of those standing there were saying to them: 'What are you doing, untying the colt?'
And they said to them just as Jesus had said, and they let them go.
And they bring the colt to Jesus and throw their cloaks on it, and he sat on it.
And many spread their cloaks on the road, and others, cutting branches from the fields, were spreading them on the road.
And those going before and those following were crying out, saying: 'Hosanna! Blessed is the one coming in the name of the Lord!'
Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!
And Jesus entered into Jerusalem and into the temple, and having looked around at everything, since the hour was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve.
And on the next day, when they were coming out from Bethany, he was hungry.
And having seen a fig tree from a distance having leaves, he went to see if perhaps he might find anything on it. And having come to it, he found nothing except leaves; for it was not the season of figs.
And answering, he said to it: 'May no one eat fruit from you ever again.' And his disciples heard it.
And they come to Jerusalem. And having entered the temple, Jesus began to cast out those selling and those buying in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those selling the doves.
And he would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple.
And he was teaching and saying to them: 'Has it not been written: My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations? But you have made it a den of robbers.'
And the chief priests and the scribes heard and were seeking how they might destroy him; for they were afraid of him, for the whole crowd was astonished at his teaching.
And whenever evening came, they were going out of the city.
And passing by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.
And Peter, having remembered, says to him: 'Rabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered.'
And answering, Jesus says to them: 'Have faith in God.'
Truly I say to you that whoever says to this mountain: Be lifted up and be thrown into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says is coming to pass, it will be for him whatever he says.
Therefore I say to you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and they will be yours.
And whenever you stand praying, forgive if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also, the one who is in the heavens, may forgive you your trespasses.
And they come again to Jerusalem; and as he was walking in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders come to him,
And they were saying to him: 'By what authority are you doing these things? Or who gave you this authority, so that you may do these things?'
And Jesus, answering, said to them, 'I will ask you one question; and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.'
The baptism of John -- was it from heaven or from men? Answer me.
And they were reasoning with themselves, saying: What shall we say? If we say, from heaven, he will say: Why then did you not believe him?
But if we say, 'From men'... they were afraid of the crowd; for all held that John truly was a prophet.
And answering Jesus, they say: 'We do not know.' And Jesus, answering, says to them: 'Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.'
