Leviticus 8
And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and the bull of the sin offering, and the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread,
and assemble all the congregation at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
And Moses did as the LORD commanded him, and the congregation assembled at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
And Moses said to the congregation: This is the thing that the LORD has commanded to be done.
And Moses brought near Aaron and his sons and washed them with water.
And he put on him the tunic and girded him with the sash and clothed him with the robe and put on him the ephod and girded him with the decorated band of the ephod, binding it to him.
And he set upon him the breastpiece, and put into the breastpiece the Urim and the Thummim.
And he set the turban upon his head, and upon the turban, toward his face, he set the gold plate, the holy diadem, as the LORD commanded Moses.
And Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it, and consecrated them.
And he sprinkled from it upon the altar seven times, and he anointed the altar and all its utensils, and the basin and its stand, to consecrate them.
And he poured some of the anointing oil upon the head of Aaron, and he anointed him to consecrate him.
And Moses brought forward the sons of Aaron, and he clothed them with tunics, and he girded them with a sash, and he bound headgear on them, as the LORD commanded Moses.
And he brought forward the bull of the purification offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bull of the purification offering.
And he slaughtered it, and Moses took the blood and put it on the horns of the altar all around with his finger, and purified the altar, and he poured out the blood at the base of the altar, and consecrated it, to make atonement upon it.
And he took all the fat that was on the entrails, and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and their fat, and Moses turned them to smoke on the altar.
But the bull — its hide and its flesh and its dung — he burned with fire outside the camp, just as YHWH had commanded Moses.
Then he presented the ram of the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.
And he slaughtered it, and Moses dashed the blood on the altar all around.
And the ram he cut into its pieces, and Moses turned to smoke the head and the pieces and the suet.
And the entrails and the legs he washed with water, and Moses turned to smoke the entire ram on the altar — it is a burnt offering, a soothing aroma, a food offering to YHWH — just as YHWH had commanded Moses.
Then he presented the second ram, the ram of ordination, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.
And he slaughtered it, and Moses took some of its blood and put it on the lobe of Aaron's right ear, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.
And he brought near the sons of Aaron, and Moses put some of the blood on the lobe of their right ear, and on the thumb of their right hand, and on the big toe of their right foot, and Moses dashed the blood on the altar all around.
And he took the fat and the fat tail and all the fat that was on the entrails, and the lobe of the liver and the two kidneys and their fat, and the right thigh.
And from the basket of unleavened bread that was before the LORD, he took one unleavened loaf, and one loaf of oiled bread, and one flatbread, and set them upon the fat portions and upon the right thigh.
And he placed all of it upon the palms of Aaron and upon the palms of his sons, and waved them as a wave offering before the LORD.
And Moses took them from their palms and turned them to smoke on the altar upon the burnt offering — they were an ordination offering — a soothing aroma, a food offering to the LORD.
And Moses took the breast and waved it as a wave offering before the LORD — from the ordination ram it was Moses's portion — as the LORD commanded Moses.
And Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood that was upon the altar and sprinkled it upon Aaron, upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him, and consecrated Aaron, his garments, and his sons, and the garments of his sons with him.
And Moses said to Aaron and his sons: Boil the flesh at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and there eat it and the bread that is in the basket of ordination offerings, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his sons shall eat it.
And what remains of the flesh and the bread you shall burn with fire.
And from the entrance of the tent of meeting you shall not go out for seven days, until the day when the days of your ordination are completed; for he shall fill your hand for seven days.
As has been done this day, the LORD has commanded to be done, to make atonement for you.
And at the entrance of the tent of meeting you shall stay day and night for seven days, and you shall keep the charge of the LORD, lest you die; for so I have been commanded.
And Aaron and his sons did all the things that the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
