Leviticus 13

And the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying:

A person, when there is in the skin of his flesh a swelling, or a scab, or a bright spot, and it becomes in the skin of his flesh a diseased mark, he shall be brought to Aaron the priest or to one of his sons the priests.

The priest shall examine the infection in the skin of the flesh; if the hair in the infection has turned white and the appearance of the infection is deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a skin disease — a diseased infection. The priest shall examine it and declare him unclean.

But if the bright spot is white in the skin of his flesh, and its appearance is not deeper than the skin, and the hair in it has not turned white, then the priest shall shut up the affected person seven days.

And the priest shall look at it on the seventh day, and behold, the mark has stood in his eyes, the mark has not spread in the skin, and the priest shall shut him in for seven days a second time.

The priest shall examine him on the seventh day a second time, and behold — if the infection has become dim and the infection has not spread in the skin, the priest shall declare him clean; it is a scab. He shall wash his garments and be clean.

But if the scab spreads further in the skin after he appeared before the priest for his cleansing, he shall present himself again before the priest.

And the priest shall look, and if the rash has spread in the skin, then the priest shall declare him unclean — it is a skin disease.

When a diseased infection is on a person, he shall be brought to the priest.

And the priest shall look, and behold, a white swelling in the skin, and it has turned the hair white, and there is raw living flesh in the swelling.

It is a chronic skin disease in the skin of his flesh, and the priest shall declare him unclean — he shall not shut him up, for he is unclean.

But if the skin disease breaks out further in the skin, and the skin disease covers all the skin of the infected person from his head to his feet, to all the appearance of the priest's eyes —

And the priest shall look, and behold, the skin disease has covered all his flesh, and he shall pronounce the mark clean — it has all turned white, he is clean.

But on the day that raw flesh appears in it, he shall be unclean.

The priest shall examine the raw flesh and declare him unclean; the raw flesh is unclean — it is a skin disease.

Or if the raw flesh turns and changes to white, then he shall come to the priest.

The priest shall examine him, and behold — if the infection has turned white, the priest shall declare the infection clean; it is clean.

And flesh, when there is in it in its skin a boil, and it has healed —

And it happens that in the place of the boil there is a white swelling or a white reddish bright spot, and it is shown to the priest.

The priest shall examine it, and behold — if its appearance is lower than the skin and its hair has turned white, the priest shall declare him unclean; it is a diseased infection that has broken out in the boil.

But if the priest looks at it, and behold, there is no white hair in it, and it is not lower than the skin, and it is dull, the priest shall shut him in for seven days.

But if it is indeed spreading in the skin, then the priest shall declare him unclean — it is a skin disease.

But if the bright spot remains where it is and has not spread, it is the scar of the boil, and the priest shall declare him clean.

Or flesh, when there is in its skin a burn of fire, and the raw area of the burn becomes a bright spot, reddish-white or white —

And the priest shall examine it, and if the hair in the bright spot has turned white and its appearance is deeper than the skin, it is a skin disease that has broken out in the burn, and the priest shall declare him unclean — it is a diseased skin condition.

But if the priest examines it and behold there is no white hair in the bright spot and it is not lower than the skin and it is dim, the priest shall quarantine him seven days.

And the priest shall look at it on the seventh day: if it is indeed spreading in the skin, the priest shall declare him unclean — it is a diseased mark.

And if the bright spot has remained in its place and has not spread in the skin, and it is faint -- it is the swelling of the burn; and the priest shall pronounce him clean, for it is a scar of the burn.

And a man or a woman — if there is in him an affliction, on the head or on the beard:

And the priest shall examine the affliction, and behold, its appearance is deeper than the skin, and in it is hair yellow and thin — then the priest shall declare him unclean: it is a scall, a skin-disease of the head or the beard, it is.

And when the priest sees the affliction of the scall, and behold, its appearance is not deeper than the skin, and there is no black hair in it, the priest shall quarantine the affliction of the scall seven days.

And the priest shall examine the affliction on the seventh day, and behold, the scall has not spread, and there is no yellow hair in it, and the appearance of the scall is not deeper than the skin.

He shall shave himself, but the scall he shall not shave; and the priest shall quarantine the scall a second seven days.

And the priest shall examine the scall on the seventh day, and behold, the scall has not spread in the skin, and its appearance is not deeper than the skin — then the priest shall declare him clean, and he shall wash his garments and be clean.

But if the scall spreads further in the skin after his cleansing,

And the priest shall examine him, and behold, the scall has spread in the skin — the priest shall not search for the yellow hair: he is unclean.

But if in his eyes the scall has stood still, and black hair has grown in it, the scall has healed; it is pure; and the priest shall declare him pure.

And when a man or a woman has in the skin of their flesh bright spots -- white bright spots,

And the priest shall examine, and behold, in the skin of their flesh are bright spots, faint and white — it is bohak, it has broken out in the skin: he is clean.

And if a man's head is stripped bare, he is bald; he is pure.

And if his head is rubbed bare from the front of his face, he is bald in front; he is clean.

And if there is in the bald crown or in the bald forehead an affliction, white-reddish — it is a skin-disease breaking out, in his bald crown or in his bald forehead.

And the priest shall examine him, and behold, the swelling of the affliction is white and reddish in his bald crown or in his bald forehead, like the appearance of sara'at on the skin of the body.

He is a man afflicted with tzaraat -- he is unclean; the priest shall surely declare him unclean; his affliction is on his head.

And the one afflicted with skin-disease in whom is the affliction — his garments shall be torn, and his head shall be unbound, and he shall cover his mustache, and 'Unclean! Unclean!' he shall cry out.

All the days the affliction is in him he shall be unclean -- he is unclean; he shall dwell apart; outside the camp is his dwelling.

And the garment, when there is in it an affliction of sara'at, whether in a woolen garment or in a linen garment:

or in the warp or in the woof, of linen and of wool, or in a skin or in any article of skin —

If the affliction is greenish or reddish in the garment, or in the leather, or in the warp, or in the weft, or in any article of leather -- it is an affliction of tzaraat; and it shall be shown to the priest.

And the priest shall examine the affliction, and shall shut up the affliction seven days.

And he shall examine the affliction on the seventh day; if the affliction has spread in the garment, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in the leather, or in anything made from leather for use, the affliction is a malignant sara'at; it is unclean.

And he shall burn the garment, or the warp, or the weft -- whether in wool or in linen -- or any leather article in which the affliction is, for it is malignant tzaraat; in fire it shall be burned.

And if the priest examines, and behold, the affliction has not spread in the garment or in the warp or in the woof or in any article of skin —

And the priest shall command that they wash the thing that has the affliction, and he shall quarantine it seven days a second time.

And the priest shall examine the affliction after it has been washed, and behold, the affliction has not changed its appearance, and the affliction has not spread — it is unclean; you shall burn it in fire; it is a mildew spot, whether on its back or its front.

And if the priest examines and the affliction has faded after it has been washed, he shall tear it out from the garment or from the leather or from the warp or from the woof.

And if it appears still in the garment, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in any article of leather, it is spreading; you shall burn in fire that in which is the affliction.

And the garment, or the warp, or the weft, or any article of leather that you wash, and the affliction turns aside from them -- it shall be washed a second time and shall be clean.

This is the instruction for the affliction of skin-disease in a garment of wool or linen, or the warp or the woof, or any article of skin — to declare it clean or to declare it unclean.
