Hebrews 13

Let brotherly love continue.

Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have entertained angels unawares.

Remember those who are in prison, as though bound with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed be undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

Let your manner of life be free from love of money; being content with what you have; for he himself has said, 'I will never leave you, nor will I ever forsake you.'

So that we say with confidence, 'The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid; what will man do to me?'

Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you; considering the outcome of their way of life, imitate their faith.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Do not be carried away by diverse and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, in which those who walk were not benefited.

We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat.

For of those animals whose blood is brought as a sin offering into the holy places by the high priest, the bodies are burned outside the camp.

Therefore also Jesus, in order that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered outside the gate.

Let us therefore go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.

For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the coming one.

Through him, then, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips confessing his name.

And do not neglect doing good and sharing; for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Obey your leaders and be submissive; for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account, so that they may do this with joy and not with groaning; for that is unprofitable for you.

Pray for us, for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves well in all things.

And I urge you all the more to do this, so that I may be restored to you all the sooner.

Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep by the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus,

May he equip you in every good work to do his will, working in us what is well-pleasing before him through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

And I urge you, brothers, bear with the word of exhortation, for I have indeed written to you briefly.

Know that our brother Timothy has been released, with whom, if he comes soon, I will see you.

Greet all your leaders and all the saints. Those from Italy greet you.

Grace be with all of you. Amen. Written to the Hebrews from Italy through Timothy.
