Hebrews 13

¹Let brotherly love continue.

²Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have entertained angels unawares.

³Remember those who are in prison, as though bound with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.

⁴Let marriage be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed be undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

⁵Let your manner of life be free from love of money; being content with what you have; for he himself has said, 'I will never leave you, nor will I ever forsake you.'

⁶So that we say with confidence, 'The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid; what will man do to me?'

⁷Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you; considering the outcome of their way of life, imitate their faith.

⁸Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

⁹Do not be carried away by diverse and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, in which those who walk were not benefited.

¹⁰We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat.

¹¹For of those animals whose blood is brought as a sin offering into the holy places by the high priest, the bodies are burned outside the camp.

¹²Therefore also Jesus, in order that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered outside the gate.

¹³Let us therefore go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.

¹⁴For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the coming one.

¹⁵Through him, then, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips confessing his name.

¹⁶And do not neglect doing good and sharing; for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

¹⁷Obey your leaders and be submissive; for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account, so that they may do this with joy and not with groaning; for that is unprofitable for you.

¹⁸Pray for us, for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves well in all things.

¹⁹And I urge you all the more to do this, so that I may be restored to you all the sooner.

²⁰Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep by the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus,

²¹May he equip you in every good work to do his will, working in us what is well-pleasing before him through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

²²And I urge you, brothers, bear with the word of exhortation, for I have indeed written to you briefly.

²³Know that our brother Timothy has been released, with whom, if he comes soon, I will see you.

²⁴Greet all your leaders and all the saints. Those from Italy greet you.

²⁵Grace be with all of you. Amen. Written to the Hebrews from Italy through Timothy.
