Hebrews 1
In many portions and in many ways, long ago God, having spoken to the fathers in the prophets,
in these last days he has spoken to us in a son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the ages,
who, being the radiance of his glory and the exact imprint of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, having made purification of sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
having become so much greater than the angels, inasmuch as he has inherited a name more excellent than theirs.
For to which of the angels did he ever say, 'You are my Son; today I have begotten you'? And again, 'I will be to him a father, and he himself will be to me a son'?
And when he again brings the Firstborn into the inhabited world, he says: 'And let all the angels of God worship him.'
And of the angels indeed he says, 'He who makes his angels winds, and his ministers a flame of fire.'
But to the Son: 'Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.'
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your companions.'
'And you, Lord, at the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of your hands;'
They will perish, but you remain; and all of them will grow old like a garment,
and like a cloak you will roll them up, and like a garment they will be changed; but you are the same, and your years will not fail.'
But to which of the angels has he ever said, 'Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet'?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth for service for the sake of those who are about to inherit salvation?
