Genesis 45
And Joseph could not restrain himself before all those standing over him, and he called out, 'Send out every man from me,' and no man stood with him when Joseph made himself known to his brothers.
And he gave forth his voice in weeping, and the Egyptians heard, and the household of Pharaoh heard.
And Joseph said to his brothers, I am Joseph. Is my father still alive? But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed before him.
And Joseph said to his brothers: Please come near to me. And they came near. And he said: I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold to Egypt.
And now, do not be grieved and do not let it burn in your eyes that you sold me here, for it was to preserve life that God sent me before you.
For this is the second year the famine has been in the midst of the land, and there are still five years in which there will be no plowing or harvest.
And God sent me before you to set a remnant for you in the land and to keep you all alive as a great survivor.
And now, it was not you who sent me here, but God, and he made me a father to Pharaoh and lord over all his household and ruler over all the land of Egypt.
Hurry and go up to my father and say to him: Thus says your son Joseph: God has made me lord over all Egypt. Come down to me, do not delay.
And you shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near to me — you and your sons and your sons' sons, and your flocks and your cattle and all that you have.
And I will sustain you there, for there are still five years of famine, lest you be dispossessed — you and your house and all that is yours.
And look, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my own mouth that speaks to you.
And you shall tell my father all my honor in Egypt, and all that you have seen, and you shall hurry and bring my father down here.
And he fell upon the neck of his brother Benjamin and wept, and Benjamin wept upon his neck.
And he kissed all his brothers and wept over them, and after that his brothers spoke with him.
And the report was heard in Pharaoh's house, saying, 'Joseph's brothers have come,' and it was good in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of his servants.
And Pharaoh said to Joseph: Say to your brothers: Do this — load your animals and go, enter the land of Canaan.
Take the father of you all and the households of you all and come to me, and I will give you the best of the land of Egypt, and you shall eat the fat of the land.
Now you are commanded this: do this — take for yourselves from the land of Egypt carts for the little children of you all and for the wives of you all, and carry the father of you all and come.
And do not let your eye be sparing of your belongings, for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours.
And the sons of Israel did so. And Joseph gave them carts according to Pharaoh's word, and gave them provision for the journey.
To all of them he gave, each man, changes of garments. But to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and five changes of garments.
And to his father he sent the following: ten donkeys carrying of the best of Egypt, and ten she-asses carrying grain and bread and provision for his father for the journey.
And he sent his brothers off, and they went, and he said to them: 'Do not be troubled on the road.'
And they went up from Egypt and came to the land of Canaan, to their father Jacob.
And they told him, saying, 'Joseph is still alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt.' And his heart went numb, for he did not believe them.
And they spoke to him all the words of Joseph that he had spoken to them, and he saw the carts that Joseph had sent to carry him, and the spirit of Jacob their father revived.
And Israel said: 'Enough! Joseph my son is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.'
