Genesis 2
And the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their host.
And God finished on the seventh day his work which he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done.
And God blessed the seventh day and he sanctified it, for in it he rested from all his work that God created in his making.
These are the toledot of the heavens and the earth in their being created, in the day the Lord God made earth and heavens.
and all the shrubs of the field before they were in the earth, and all the cultivated grains of the field before they sprouted, for the Lord God had not yet caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was no man to serve the ground.
but ground water went up from the earth and watered all the face of the ground.
And the Lord God formed the man, dust from the ground. And he breathed into his nostrils breath of life. And the man became a living being.
And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and he placed there the man whom he had formed.
And the Lord God caused to sprout from the ground all trees, pleasant to sight and good for food, and the tree of life in the middle of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and bad.
Now a river goes out of Eden to water the garden. And from there it separates and becomes four heads.
The name of the one, Pishon — It surrounds all the land of Havilah, where there is gold.
(Now the gold of that land is good. Pearls and lapis lazuli are there.)
And the name of the second, Gihon. It surrounds the land of Cush.
And the name of the third, Tigris. It goes on the east of Assyria. And the name of the fourth, it is Euphrates.
And the Lord God took the man. And he caused him to rest in the garden of Eden to serve it and to keep it.
And the Lord God commanded the man, saying: From every tree of the garden you may freely eat.
but from the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, you shall not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it, dying you shall die.
And the Lord God said: It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make for him a helper corresponding to him.
And the Lord God formed from the ground every living creature of the field and every flying thing of the heavens, and he brought them to the man to see what he would call to it, and whatever the man would call to it, a living creature, that was its name.
And the man called names for all the livestock, and for the flying things of the heavens, and for all the living creatures of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper corresponding to him.
And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept. And he took one of his sides and closed up flesh in its place.
And the Lord God built the side that he had taken from the man into a woman, and brought her to the man.
And the man said: This one this time — bone from my bones and flesh from my flesh. To this one shall be called ishah, for from ish this one was taken.
Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother, and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh.
And the two of them were naked, the man and his woman, and they were not ashamed.
