Exodus 31

The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge, and in all craftsmanship.

To devise artistic designs, to work in gold, in silver, and in bronze.

And in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, to work in all craftsmanship.

And I, behold, I have appointed with him Oholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the heart of every skilled craftsman I have placed wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded you.

the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is on it, and all the furnishings of the tent,

and the table and its utensils, and the pure lampstand and all its utensils, and the altar of incense,

And the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the basin and its stand.

And the service garments, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister as priests.

And the anointing oil, and the incense of spices for the holy place — according to all that I have commanded you, they shall make.

And Yahweh said to Moses, saying:

And you yourself speak to the sons of Israel, saying: Surely my sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between me and between you throughout your generations, to know that I, Yahweh, am consecrating you.

And you shall keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you all; whoever profanes it shall surely be put to death, for whoever does any work in it — that person shall be cut off from among her people.

Six days work shall be done, but on the seventh day there is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD; whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall surely be put to death.

And the sons of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations — an everlasting covenant.

Between me and between the sons of Israel it is a sign forever, for in six days Yahweh made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.

And he gave to Moses, when he had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone written with the finger of God.
