Deuteronomy 22

You shall not see your brother's ox or his sheep going astray and ignore them; you shall without fail return them to your brother.

And if your brother is not near you, or you do not know him, then you shall bring it into your house, and it shall be with you until your brother seeks it, and you shall return it to him.

And so shall you do with his donkey, and so shall you do with his garment, and so shall you do with every lost thing of your brother that is lost from him and you find it; you shall not be able to ignore it.

You shall not see your brother's donkey or his ox fallen down by the road, and ignore them; you shall certainly help him to lift the animal up.

A man s article shall not be on a woman, and a man shall not put on a woman s garment, for all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD your God.

If a bird's nest happens to be before you along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with fledglings or eggs, and the mother is sitting on the fledglings or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother along with the young.

you shall surely release the mother, but the young you may take for yourself, so that it may go well with you and you may prolong your days.

When you build a new house, you shall make a parapet for your roof, so that you do not bring bloodguilt upon your house if anyone falls from it.

You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seed, lest the whole yield be forfeited — the seed which you have sown and the produce of the vineyard.

You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together.

You shall not wear sha'atnez, wool and linen together.

You shall make yourself tassels on the four corners of your garment with which you cover yourself.

If a man takes a wife, and goes in to her, and comes to hate her,

and brings charges against her and gives her a bad name and says, 'This woman I took, and when I drew near to her I did not find in her virginity.'

then the father of the young woman and her mother shall take and bring out the evidence of the young woman's virginity to the elders of the city at the gate.

And the father of the young woman shall say to the elders, My daughter I gave to this man as a wife, and he has hated her.

and now he has made shameful charges, saying, I did not find tokens of virginity for your daughter; and these are the tokens of virginity of my daughter. And they shall spread the garment before the elders of the city.

Then the elders of that city shall take the man and discipline him.

and they shall fine him a hundred shekels of silver and give them to the father of the young woman, because he has brought a bad name upon a virgin of Israel; and she shall be his wife; he may not divorce her all his days.

But if this thing is true, and evidence of virginity was not found for the young woman,

then they shall bring out the young woman to the entrance of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones so that she dies, because she has done folly in Israel by fornicating in her father's house; and you shall purge the evil from your midst.

If a man is found lying with a woman who is married to a husband, then both of them shall die -- the man who lay with the woman, and the woman; and you shall purge the evil from Israel.

If there is a young woman, a virgin, who is betrothed to a man, and a man finds her in the city and lies with her,

then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city and stone them to death with stones -- the young woman because she did not cry out in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbor's wife; so you shall purge the evil from among you.

But if in the field the man found the betrothed young woman and the man seized her and lay with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die.

But to the young woman you shall do nothing; the young woman has no sin deserving death, for this case is like that of a man who rises against his neighbor and murders him.

For he found her in the open country, and though the betrothed young woman cried out, there was no one to save her.

If a man finds a young woman, a virgin who is not betrothed, and seizes her and lies with her, and they are found out,

Then the man who lay with her shall give to the father of the young woman fifty shekels of silver, and she shall become his wife, because he has humiliated her; he may not divorce her all his days.

A man shall not take his father's wife, and shall not uncover his father's skirt.
