2 Timothy 3

¹But know this, that in the last days difficult times will come.

²For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,

³without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, without self-control, savage, haters of good,

⁴treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

⁵having a form of godliness but denying its power; and avoid these people.

⁶For from these are those who creep into households and capture weak women loaded down with sins, led along by various desires,

⁷always learning and never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.

⁸Now just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these oppose the truth, people corrupted in mind, disqualified regarding the faith.

⁹But they will not advance far, for their folly will be plain to all, as also that of those two became.

¹⁰But you have closely followed my teaching, my conduct, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, my endurance,

¹¹my persecutions, my sufferings, such as happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra; what persecutions I endured! And out of them all the Lord delivered me.

¹²Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

¹³But evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

¹⁴But you, continue in the things you learned and were convinced of, knowing from whom you learned them,

¹⁵and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith that is in Christ Jesus.

¹⁶Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for training in righteousness,

¹⁷so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
