2 Chronicles 4

1He made an altar of bronze, twenty cubits in length, twenty cubits in width, and ten cubits in height.

2He made the sea of cast metal, ten cubits from rim to rim, circular all around, five cubits in height, and a line of thirty cubits encircled it all around.

3Figures of oxen were beneath it, encircling it all around, ten to a cubit encircling the sea all around; two rows of oxen were cast when it was cast.

4It stood upon twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east; the sea was upon them above, and all their hindquarters were inward.

5Its thickness was a handbreadth, and its rim was made like the rim of a cup, like a lily flower. It held three thousand baths.

6He made ten basins for washing, and set five on the right and five on the left, to rinse in them what belonged to the burnt offering; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.

7He made ten golden lampstands as prescribed and placed them in the temple, five on the right and five on the left.

8He made ten tables and placed them in the temple, five on the right side and five on the left. He also made a hundred bowls of gold.

9He made the court of the priests and the great court, and doors for the court, and he overlaid their doors with bronze.

10The sea he set on the right side, toward the east, opposite the south.

11Huram-abi made the pots, the shovels, and the bowls. So Huram-abi finished all the work he did for King Solomon on the house of God:

12The two pillars, the two bowl-shaped capitals that were on top of the pillars, the two latticeworks to cover the two bowl-shaped capitals that were on top of the pillars,

13Four hundred pomegranates were on the two latticeworks, two rows of pomegranates on each latticework, to cover the two bowl-shaped capitals on top of the pillars.

14the stands, and the basins on the stands;

15one sea, and the twelve oxen beneath it.

16the pots, the shovels, the forks, and all their vessels that Huram-abi made for King Solomon for the house of the LORD were of polished bronze.

17The king cast them in the plain of the Jordan, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredah.

18Thus Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance, for the weight of the bronze could not be determined.

19Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of God: the golden altar, the tables on which the bread of the Presence rested,

20the lampstands with their lamps, to burn before the inner sanctuary as prescribed, of pure gold;

21the blossoms, the lamps, and the tongs, of pure gold;

22the wick trimmers, the sprinkling bowls, the spoons, and the fire pans, of pure gold; and the door-sockets of the house, the innermost doors for the Most Holy Place and the doors of the nave of the temple, of gold.
