Timothy 4

But the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,

through the hypocrisy of liars, seared in their own conscience,

forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving;

for it is sanctified through the word of God and prayer.

By putting these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished on the words of the faith and of the good teaching that you have closely followed;

But reject the profane and old-womanish myths; rather train yourself for godliness.

For bodily training is of value for a little, but godliness is of value for all things, holding promise of the life that now is and that is to come.

The saying is trustworthy and worthy of full acceptance.

For to this end we both labor and strive, because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of believers.

Command these things and teach.

Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Until I come, give attention to the public reading, to exhortation, to teaching.

Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you through prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the council of elders.

Practice these things, be absorbed in them, so that your progress may be evident in all.

Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching; persevere in these things; for by doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
