Corinthians 5

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is not found even among the pagans — that someone has his father's wife.

And you are puffed up! And did you not rather mourn, so that the one who has done this deed might be removed from your midst?

For I, though absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged, as if present, the one who has done this thing —

in the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are assembled, and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus,

to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.

Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole batch of dough?

Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are unleavened. For also our Passover has been sacrificed — Christ.

Therefore let us celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

I wrote to you in the letter not to associate with sexually immoral people —

and not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since in that case you would need to go out of the world.

But now I wrote to you not to associate with anyone bearing the name of brother who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler — not even to eat with such a one.

For what have I to do with judging those who are outside? Is it not those inside whom you judge?

God will judge those outside. 'Remove the evil person from among you.'
