²Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared.

³Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech.

⁴Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

⁵The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

⁶And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Diphath, and Togarmah.

⁷And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittim, and the Rodanim.

⁸The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

⁹And the sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.

¹⁰And Cush fathered Nimrod; he began to be a mighty warrior in the land.

¹¹And Mizraim fathered the Ludim, the Anamim, the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim.

¹²Pathrusim and Casluhim, from whom the Philistines came forth, and Caphtorim.

¹³And Canaan fathered Sidon his firstborn, and Heth.

¹⁴the Jebusite, the Amorite, and the Girgashite.

¹⁵the Hivite, the Arkite, and the Sinite.

¹⁶and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

¹⁷The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshech.

¹⁸And Arpachshad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber.

¹⁹And to Eber were born two sons; the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

²⁰And Joktan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, and Jerah.

²¹Hadoram, Uzal, and Diklah.

²²and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba.

²³Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

²⁴Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah.

²⁵Eber, Peleg, Reu.

²⁶Serug, Nahor, Terah.

²⁷Abram — he is Abraham.

²⁸The sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.

²⁹These are their descendants: Ishmael's firstborn, Nebaioth; Kedar, Adbeel, and Mibsam.

³⁰Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema.

³¹Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.

³²And the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine — she bore Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.

³³And the sons of Midian: Ephah, Epher, Enoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the sons of Keturah.

³⁴And Abraham fathered Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.

³⁵The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalam, and Korah.

³⁶The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, Omar, Zephi, Gatam, Kenaz, Timna, and Amalek.

³⁷The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

³⁸And the sons of Seir: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan.

³⁹And the sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam; and the sister of Lotan was Timna.

⁴⁰The sons of Shobal: Alian, Manahath, Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah.

⁴¹The sons of Anah: Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Hamran, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran.

⁴²The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Jaakan. The sons of Dishon: Uz and Aran.

⁴³And these are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before a king reigned over the sons of Israel: Bela son of Beor, and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

⁴⁴And Bela died, and Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah reigned in his place.

⁴⁵And Jobab died, and Husham from the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.

⁴⁶And Husham died, and in his place Hadad son of Bedad reigned — who struck Midian in the field of Moab — and the name of his city was Avith.

⁴⁷And Hadad died, and Samlah from Masrekah reigned in his place.

⁴⁸And Samlah died, and Saul of Rehoboth on the River reigned in his place.

⁴⁹And Saul died, and Baal-hanan son of Achbor reigned in his place.

⁵⁰And Baal-hanan died, and Hadad reigned in his place; the name of his city was Pai, and the name of his wife was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.

⁵¹And Hadad died. And the chiefs of Edom were: chief Timna, chief Alvah, chief Jetheth.

⁵²chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon.

⁵³chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar.

⁵⁴chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These are the chiefs of Edom.
